NAIL BITING CHALLENGE WITH VIETNAMESE STARS

I. Introduction

“Nail Biting Challenge with Vietnamese Stars” is one of many activities for the “Nail Biters” campaign being kicked off with a photo album of the same name featuring 26 Vietnamese artists and celebrities. Scientists have proven that rhino horn is composed of mainly keratin, which is the same as fingernails. With the concept of nail biting, this major communication campaign aims to satirise rhino horn users and emphasise the message “Spending hundreds of millions buy a piece of rhino horn that is similar to fingernails? How foolish!” Besides, the campaign also strives to raise awareness among the Vietnamese public about rhino horns and call for rhino protection by not consuming rhino horn. The youths participating in the “Nail Biting Challenge with Vietnamese Stars” will do what the artists do: take a photo of themselves biting their fingernails to spread the message to friends and families.

III. How to Play

1. Choose 1 photo of yourself biting your fingernails. Be unique! Be creative!

2. Can be a selfie or group photo.

3. Post it on your Facebook with the hashtags #canmongtay #sungtegiongmongtay #nailbiters#nailbiting #rhinohornsimilartofingernails and tag your friends challenging them to take a nail biting photo in a creative way. Then, go to WildAid Vietnam’s Facebook page (fb.com/wildaidvietnam) and inbox us your photo with basic personal information (full name, email address, phone numbers etc.).

• 3 Favourite Prizes: Each prize has 1 ticket to “Friends of Rhino” evening event with over 30 celebrated artists + 1 stuffed rhino toy + 1 notebook + 1 rhino barge. For photos with the most likes + comments + shares on Facebook.

• 2 Unique Prizes: Each prize has 1 ticket to “Friends of Rhino” evening event with over 30 celebrated artists + 1 stuffed rhino toy + 1 notebook + 1 rhino barge. For the most unique and creative nail biting photos chosen by WildAid Vietnam.
